The Lina Bo Bardi Draws exhibition focused on the architect’s drawings, departing from this production as its own reality, beyond its design and architectural dimension. After Lina Bo Bardi Dibuja was presented in Barcelona, the exhibition was rethought for a new montage in Pittsburgh.
Curated by Zeuler Lima, an important researcher of Lina Bo Bardi’s work, the exhibition Lina Bo Bardi Dibuja, in Spain, or Draws, in its American montage, was organized based on research into the architect’s drawings. This unconventional approach to her work considered the production of drawings as a process of thinking and building relationships.
The exhibition featured around 100 drawings in each of the itineraries that show Lina Bo Bardi’s free and authentic processes in her different performances. For professional or emotional reasons, all drawings participating in the exhibition, whether design or not, were produced and kept by the architect herself and, today, are part of the collection of the Instituto Bardi / Casa de Vidro.
