EDITIONS

“The purpose of the house is to provide a convenient and comfortable life, and it would be a mistake to overvalue an exclusively decorative result. Clarity in the design of the various parts is the most important, followed by strict attention to materials. There are three types of furniture that can be considered: 1. with furniture that already exists in the market; 2. with standardized or mass-produced furniture; 3. with specially designed furniture.”

POLOCHON

Polochon is a commemorative edition of the 35 years of the eccentric and funny character created by Lina Bo Bardi for the scenography of the play Ubu Rei, by Teatro Ornitorrinco. The piglet with two rear ends was thus described by the author of the play, Frenchman Alfred Jerry, 100 years after the play was presented in Brazil, in 1885. The multiple was produced just like the original polochon, only in 1:4 scale, and carries all the irreverence and originality of Lina Bo Bardi.

BOLA DE LATÃO CHAIR

Designed for the iconic Glass House in 1951, the Bola de Latão Chair is one of Lina Bo Bardi's most enigmatics one. The structure of the front feet is elevated and the piece is finished with two golden spheres, giving it a strong scenographic feeling. She made just six chairs for the Glass House.

ÁGUAS-MARINHAS NECKLACE

The Águas-Marinhas Necklace is the only jewelry designed by Lina Bo Bardi that was ever made. Defender of stones considered semi-precious at the time, Lina developed a cascade-shaped necklace made of aquamarine, and wrote a Manifesto "Stones Against Diamonds", about her vision of what would be the design of jewelry made in Brazil.
